Ultra Knowledge has been placed at the heart of the some of
the world leading online publishers, some of which grew up online, others
have transitioned from a traditional print background. They all
understand the power of Ultra Knowledge Search Technology and have ensured
their organisations have the foundations to grow and keep offering their users,
advertisers and staff innovative solutions to their needs. Below is an
example of some of the clients we are working with.
Cnet Networks UK "At CNET Networks, we are passionate about interactive content. Across our growing family of brands, we are focused on harnessing the power of the Internet to create deeply engaging destinations that fuel people's passion for the things they love to do or need to know." Ultra Knowledge has been chosen to install its ground breaking search technology in the following three Cnet Networks publications:
Zdnet.co.uk "This site is the most advanced website for technology decision makers who need complete coverage of business technology. The launch of the new version takes the principles of web 2.0 and applies them to the business environment to give our members personal control over their experience. It brings a new look, features and functionality to enable IT professionals to interact with and get the advice of their peers, build their own social network, connect with vendors, and collaboratively solve operational and strategic business technology problems on their terms." Matt Loney, the Editor and Site Director of Zdnet.co.uk said about Ultra Knowledge: "This is about turning search into navigation; giving people more clues about what they are searching for to help them in their quest." Metro Belgium "Fort de ses 841,500lecteurs, le journal Metro est aujourd’hui le 2e plus grand quotidien
du pays et il continue à grandir. Le lecteur Metro a entre 18 et 44
ans.
{Dutch logo} Ultra Knowledge was selected to assist Metro in creating a multi-lingual online publication that would enable them to extend their brand and benefit from cross-media marketing. The site was designed to enable Metro readers to keep up to date with news during the day whilst also taking advantage of a wide variety of lifestyle content. To further enhance the user experience they used Ultra Knowledge technology to aggregate content 24/7 from more than 70 sites worldwide. This enables their users to obtain a much wider view on the world and encourages them to use Metro as their 'home' site. Metro had an archive of eight years content that was digitally stored but was in practical terms inaccessible. Because of Ultra Knowledge technology this content is now easily searchable. This offers their users a valuable background information source whilst increasing Metro's inventory and monetising formerly inert content.
Deriva.no Deriva.no is able to do this because it employs Ultra Knowledge Search Technology as the underlying core of its website. It brings in content from hundreds of sources using the Content Aggregation service. It provides our advanced query and category creation techniques to facilitate the construction of personal news channels, and it uses the Ultra Knowledge 'Hot Topics' algorithms to discern automatically what is 'hot' in the news. Currently we are extending the technology used on this site to enable automated user profile creation so that the site will be able to push valuable content to site users without the user having to spend time creating their own news channels. "It can be frustrating having to visit multiple news sites as they all have different navigations you have to work out and they all use old search technology that is simply not good enough. We selected Ultra Knowledge search technology as they have provided us with new and effective search features that no other news service is offering. Ultra Knowledge allows us to put the search user in control, offering a number of ‘assistive’ search tools to help them find exactly what they need." It provides a one-stop-shop for IT end users to access and retrieve published analysis and for IT vendors more effectively to interact with the independent analyst community. ITA became aware of Ultra Knowledge via the Bloor Research Report on Enterprise Search in 2005. It published an article assessing a pre-production version of Ultra Knowledge's Search Technology in that year and has recently contracted us to install our proven and successful software to enhance the ability of their site users to effectively access the wide range of content available through the site. |
